What is your favourite movie set in the 1980s that was not made in the 1980s?

Mine is "Watchmen".

    i would say 'Super8' , a movie really similar to ET in some sense.

    I like the movie 'Super 8' too franc - for what it's worth. Too many other films of that genre are just too unwatchable. But I tend to go more for the better scripted, acted and filmed comedies and outright thrillers.

    I would definitively say watchmen too. Ive watched it years ago and dont remember the plot much because its like 3 hours long but was a great watch
