Ha ha! I think they might call themselves a writers' community. Except they'd probably divide themselves by type, calibre and success, and only a rare few would end up as mutually supportive literary buddies. At least one of them would write a novel about their goings on, an anthology of poems, a play, a film script, and a spy-drone group biography. They'd delve into their social identities, their mainstream versus marginal issues, their idiosyncrasies, eccentricities and madnesses, and their secrets and deep down neuroses. They'd hate each other's guts for the betrayals of confidences, and worship one another for the perfect tuning of a phrase.
