I don't know about the world, but since I've been a legal secretary since 1963, I definitely would be worse off.  I pays very well and I've been able to do a lot because of that.

Maybe I should reword it to CERTAIN kinds of lawyers. Say the kind that get paid very bigly to defend a "head" or a mafia don? Your lawyering doesn't do that right? And how would innocent people defend themselves? I know. How about guilty people don't get lawyers? I have no idea how we could work that L but I shall have to ask. Thank you for your reply and Happy Day One of 2021! :)

No, my lawyers (or anyone else in the firm) don't represent politicians or Mafia dons.  :)

Then I don't mind that kind. They HELP people who DESERVE it. They don't ROLL OVER for evildoers! Of course you'd never work for anyone like that in the first instance so it's moot academic rhetorical! Thank you for your reply L! :) This post was edited by RosieG at January 1, 2021 12:11 PM MST

You're right - I could never work for someone who was or who represented reprehensible people.

I wish everyone felt like that sweetie. Thank you for your reply! :) Evildoers need facilitators and enablers. A pox on all of them! :)

I usually feel that someone who would represent that type of person is pretty much the same way.

Of course. Just as those who worship the "head" are exactly as corrupt and vile as he is. How can it be otherwise? Thank you for your reply L! :) This post was edited by RosieG at January 2, 2021 6:54 AM MST

And yet, our Constitution and legal system guarantee equal protection under the law, which means these people have the same right to legal representation as anyone else. Would you have it any other way, or do you believe that "certain people" should be denied such rights? If so, who would decide who, and where should the line be drawn?

I think perps suck. I think evildoers suck. I think liars suck. I think saboteurs suck. Does that answer your question? Thank you for your reply and Happy DAY ONE of 2021 to you and yours! Wouldn't the world be better off if all the crappers were locked up or do you kinda like their spunk? Just asking.

I don't particularly like such people, but our system guarantees certain legal rights to all. Do you believe that shouldn't be so?

Why should a rotten SOB who murders TORTURES people have the same rights GUARANTEED to them as the victims? Step back. THINK about it. Then see if you can grasp my point. Seriously Stu why should vermin be extended the same life preservers as their victims? How is that fair logical or HUMANE? HITLER? Seriously? Bullsh** in my opinion. That is why our world is so crapped up. That precise attitude you have verbalized. Whatever. Thanks and stuff. This post was edited by RosieG at January 1, 2021 10:51 AM MST

Everyone has the right to be represented by counsel and to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Do you have a problem with that? Where would you draw the line between who deserves these rights and who doesn't?

Yada yada yada yada yada yada yada yada. Thanks for the reply. How many times must we go over the same terrain Stu? If you didn't get it the first time I am sorely pressed to keep repeating myself. FOCUS. Read what I wrote before. Geez.
