Well, why shouldn't he think that he could get away with it. Antifa and BLM rioters got away with all sorts of mayhem over the summer without any consequences despite being videoed doing it. Heck prominent liberals even paid their legal fees when they were caught. Funny how now that Congress was the target of the mayhem everyone wants these rioters prosecuted (and rightly so), but when it was the White House, a federal courthouse, and people's business that were targeted, the leftists did everything that they could to downplay the violence and not pursue the guilty.
