Since when does a mediocre TV show, mediocre TV host,uncreative/mediocre premise deserve an Emmy? The Apprentice? Seriously folks?

The GOP Prex wannaba says he should have gotten an Emmy for The Apprentice.  Does he  ever admit that what he does and who he is  is second-rate and incredibly ordinary?

  • Well, the Celebrity Apprentice raised a LOT of money for a LOT of charities. I feel that deserves some recognition.

  • Each celebrity played for a charity. The team leader from each project won a certain amount for their charity. I know Hollie Robinson played for Autism Speaks, Bret Michales played for the American Diabetes Association....etc. I would never miss it.

    Statistics by season[edit]

Note: Given that the show is a sequel television series, the below "statistics by season" chart is a continuation from its precursor's (The Apprentice) "statistics by season" chart. Note as well that season 10 is omitted from the chart below as the show reverted to The Apprentice for that season.

Thanks honey. I did not know that but then why would I since I only watched it a couple of times? That certainly was a worthwhile cause. Thanks for taking the time to educate me Karen. I appreciate it. Happy Friday! :)

Sometimes good things can come from the tawdry/self-serving/superficial and certainly raising money for charity (and I presume giving all of it to the charities...I wonder if anyone audited that?) is worthwhile. Happy Monday Karen! :)

  • It showed the celebrities giving the checks to the charity, that was part of the show. They really raised a LOT for their causes.

I never cared for that show because the whole theme seemed to be - back stab your fellow workers then go into a board room and kiss Trumps ring. I'm curious to what show beat him out. Anyway I think it just shows Trump can't accept the decision of the people and being able to accept the decision of the people is what Democracy is all about. Cheers!

I totally agree with you Nanoose.  I watched it a couple of times and then stopped. Why? Because it seemed so programmed and rigid. Not reality at all but scripted/programmed/purposeful. Why did he hang in with Amarosa? Now she is one of his surrogates on TV supporting him for prez! I mean what more do you need to know about her?  Clearly she played the role of the bad girl. After I figured that out I was out! Thank you for your reply! :)

None of the "reality" shows are unscripted.  They're all mediocre dreck in my opinion and not worth wasting time watching.

I like Project Runway. How can that be scripted Spunky? Are you saying the designer's don't really design the clothes? Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday!

I guess I should have qualified my reply.  Maybe some "reality" shows are real.  Happy Friday. :)

Probably most of them are scripted. I believe The Apprentice was definitely scripted because Amarosa was the designated villain and she played that part to the hilt. So it wasn't surprising to see that she a strong Trump surrogate and backs him for prez. She still plays the role he assigned to her apparently! She plays it very well. Happy Monday Spunky! :)

First of all, name any shows that won an Emmy that deserved any award?  Most of them get awards because they made money for those who count that have palms to grease where the awards are concerned.

Now as to the Apprentice:   Lots of people watched the accident waiting to happen, which is Trump pretending to be important, mainly.
When did you ever watch it?  It was not a mediocre show.  It was a great representation of what a reality show does.   It was all scripted, there was a boardroom of asskissers on the show and it was a study in how to kiss Trump's ass and pretend he had some power.

It was quite entertaining.   They had a lot of fake star wanna-be's on there that were trying to make it big or trying to make a comeback, like Meatloaf and Gary Bussey, the biggest asskissers of all time.

If you could stand the nausea of it all, it was very enlightening in many aspects.  He pretended he was really something and really had a lot of clout.  PRETENDED. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at October 20, 2016 1:31 PM MDT
