Name calling is a sign of immaturity, and a serious character flaw.

I think the purpose of engaging in conversation is to learn about what you do not know and share what you do. I see no benefit to adding insults/attacks to any conversation. It nullifies whatever has been said and therefore is a complete waste of time. I don't understand why it is that so many people have so much time to waste. Time is an unknown insofar as each of us is concerned. We know a day will come when we have run out of time. We don't know when the day will arrive.  Why everyone doesn't try to make the most of it is perplexing to me. Thank you for your reply Autumn! :)

I think it makes one look like a person who isn't in the power of their feelings, hence not in a position to make rational replies. It does tell a lot about that person and their ways of responding, whether it's a public person or personal directed towards my person. NO MATTER what has been said prior.
