It certainly IS possible: for instance, you run into an old acquaintance or a casual acquaintance or someone who had only been introduced to you once, and he or she says something along the lines of, “Excuse me, but I’ve forgotten your name.”

  Come ON, Professor; expand your horizons, have some imagination, think outside the box!
