The cost of an MRI or Petscan. I had Petscan done of my heart (I have a-fib) and the cardiologist submitted a bill to Medicare for $3,000, three ultrasounds at $900 each, the nuclear injection for the stress test was $1,300 plus a couple of other tests, all of which came to a grand total of $7,670.00. Medicare and my AARP supplemental insurance paid most of the cost, but I think those charges are outrageous.
