No.  I cannot.  I can, however, tell you that a display of genuine interest in the life and wellbeing of another person is the best "pick-up" strategy ever devised.  Unfortunately, it cannot be replicated WITHOUT sincerity.

  • As someone once said ... Sincerity is the key... If you can fake that you've got it made!

"How are you?" works just as well. :-)

  • When I hear the phrase "pickup line," I think of men wanting fleeting fun and a release of the pressure in their gonads.
When I suspect that's what someone's after, my guard goes up instantly.

"Pickup line" sounds a bit like a fisherman baiting his hook.
The fish does not want to be caught. It does not want to be the object of someone's hunger.
If a fish has been caught once and been lucky enough to escape and heal,
it will be wary whenever it sees another hook, no matter how tempting the bait.

Assuming that there are a few women who want pleasure without consequences (not even sure if that's possible)
I think the best approach would be open and honest, something like,
"I find you attractive and would love a quickie. How about a cup of coffee?"
If she agrees, then during coffee, you get the chance to find out whether there's a chance of being able to meet each other's needs.
If you're not honest, somebody will get hurt.

If you want something longer and more meaningful, trying pickup lines is unlikely to be the best way of finding a partner.

Girl, are you good in algebra so you can replace my X without asking Y?

    Ahh, the direct approach!

    "Hey, are you into roleplay?"
    "What kind?"
    "Bonobos!"

That's creepy, rapey talk.  Sounds like you're trying to slip somebody a rufie.

Who needs pickup lines when you've got eyes like this? It's pretty effective and I only get restraining orders maybe 1 in 10 times.

On an off note, anyone here a fan of How I Met Your Mother? What was the success rate for the "naked man?" Something like 3 out of 4? Pretty good odds.

Actually I have a suspicion that pickup lines are more about taking in code to feel each other out without saying anything outright offensive. Then again if that was the case it would need to be more stylized without so many clearly amateurish efforts introducing random confusion. Any pickup line can come over lame. It's about mood, humor, and compatibility between two souls in that minute. I've always liked the ones with a twinkle.

I tried this one on the ladies back in the 70's ;  "What are you doing in that hot car when you could be here on the back of my cool motorcycle?"  It never worked.

Motorcycles (and helmets) are hell for any hairstyle that took an hour or more to arrange.

    Hello J:

Lines are for losers..  But, once you do a good card trick, you can't get rid of 'em.
