Did you know, after cataract surgery a film can form behind the new lens.

I was surprised as well.  It can be removed simply I'm told.  It possibly would explain some visual anomalies  I experienced a couple of months ago.  I think people should be informed when they have them put in. 

It may not be something that happens often.  I know several people who have had cataract surgery and none of them had a problem afterwards.  I do agree that the doctor should bring that up on initial consultation.

Perhaps you were more affected because of your chemo treatments.  

I haven't heard of any correlation with chemo treatments and eye issues, that sounds very remote...but then again, who knows. 

Well, I believe that chemo has an effect on your immune system and that may have contributed to your reaction to the vaccine.

Ah, that makes sense.  Is it a good thing...or not?

I don't know.  Supposedly, having a serious reaction to the vaccine means that your body is developing the antibodies to protect you.  They think that those who have a bad reaction to the first shot means that you've had Covid and that reaction would be like the second shot if you haven't.  Frankly, I think it will take more time to really know what everything means.  In the interim, the vaccines are our best chance of staying out of the hospital and dying should we get the virus, both of which are good things. :)

I agree, Covid can be brutal and deadly.
