No, not him, I would have to be considerably older. Interesting you should pick him, unless he is your favorite President.

You don’t need to tell me, Professor, tell him. The abbreviations for that word vary from fav to fave, so I understood it immediately. I don’t know if what he failed to understand in your response was that particular word or the overall concept of the point you were making.

No U.S. president has been forced to resign due to ill health.  In fact, Richard Nixon was the only U.S. president to resign.

That gets us so very little closer to the actual answer surely? Lots of countries have presidents, even if they don't say it in English. But no, I wasn't thinking of Richard Millhous Nixon. But don't give up now. This post was edited by rattbagge at March 29, 2021 9:17 AM MDT

Do you really think I'm going to spend time researching every country that has a president to find the answer to your question?  I hope not.

No, I just think you will not bother to read my question properly, then waste my time with an irrelevant answer to it.

I am afraid there is insufficient information to correctly respond to your inquiry.

I'm going to guess Winston Churchill, although he was Prime Monster, not President - the UK doesn't have one of those, being a monarchy rather than a republic.

Rajendra Prasad never resigned, he declined to seek a third term as both he his wife were suffering from poor health. He died seven months after being succeeded, and remains the only Indian President to have served two full six-year terms.

3 terms would have been 15 yrs not 12 yrs.   I do not know what month in 1962 he resigned but he dies Feb 1963.
(Just seen May 1962 so he does not fit this question) This post was edited by my2cents at March 30, 2021 8:07 PM MDT

Going by a colleague of mine (from Mumbai, and Wikipedia backs him), Prasad didn't run for a third SIX YEAR (not five) term in 1962. His Vice ran, and won, that year.

    Nope. Term is 5 years.
    He served 12.
The extra 2 are because he was appointed in 1950 to the Presidency and the first election took place in 1952, 2nd in 1957.
You are correct he choose not to seek the 3rd term in 1962 (5yr term) for health reasons.
