Raspberries and blackberries are very fragile and delicate. They don't last long in the fridge. Blueberries and strawberries are a bit sturdier. But all berries are manificently NUTRITIOUS! Thank you for your reply L and Happy Monday! :)

They are so delicate do they get mushy when defrosted? Thank you for your reply L! :)

Yes, they did get a bit mushy, but they were a little mushy anyway.  The blackberries held up well, though.

Yes.  I'm looking forward to the summer fruits - melons in particular. :)

We love melons too and we didn't buy ONE last year! They were all green. Cantaloupe gets a nice wheaty color and has a fragrance when ripe. Every one we saw no matter what store was GREEN netting. How were the ones where you live? We like other melons too but cantaloupe is most favorite! Thank you for your reply L! :) This post was edited by RosieG at April 10, 2021 8:16 AM MDT

Walmart had great cantaloupes last year and the watermelon was pretty good, too.  I find that peaches are a problem and have been for some time.  I don't know what they do to them, but they have almost no scent or taste.

Do beverages count? I always buy Australian grown where possible, but one thing we can't grow here is decent coffee - our hills aren't high enough. You can get rubbish "filler coffee" at sea level, but the good stuff grows in cloud, five thousand feet or more up. Only two of our mountains approach that and they're too far south.
