I don't think anyone really likes being interrupted, but it also depends on how important is the reason for it. When I'm chatting with someone who has young kids around, you can bet that our conversation is going to be interrupted more than once if we're on the phone for more than two minutes. Of course, if the interruption is to tell me there's a fire in the house and we have to get out, I won't mind at all.
I just want to know if I can eat the corned beef sandwich that’s in your refrigerator. You have to admit that’s an important enough reason to interrupt you. ~
