Are you now or have you ever been UPPITY? Do you know your place and always stay within the confines of those lines?

UPPITY

Only when it comes to coffee. Aussies are coffee snobs, it's why Starbucks failed here.

OMG m'dear! I salute your country and its people. I bow down to you and respect you so very bigly. Here in the states every corner has a Starbucks with cars lined up the kazoo. You can't escape it. At first I thought it was just another dumb-a** STATUS SYMBOL like wearing a ROLEX WATCH (I think they are bigly ugly). What do I think now? That those folks have crapped up tastebuds and actually have convinced themselves the coffee tastes so awesome good! They spend $20 a day or more on their coffee. Or $30 or $40. They FLAUNT it. "See me? I drink ONLY the most expensive coffee. I am important. I am someone. I NEVER shop at Walmart. I am upscale and so everything I do is upscale too." Bah humbug! Thank you for giving me some hope that the entire world hasn't gone snob. Not yet at least. Never I hope! Also we've discussed some beers you prefer and cheeses too and let us not forget your sports teams. It's so good to know that somewhere "OUT THERE" exists an AUSSIE mindset. Happy Wednesday to thee and thine R! :)

Starbucks failing in Australia is not a bad thing.  I think they charge a usurious amount for a cup of drek.

I am not not, nor have I ever been, uppity and I'm not planning on being uppity any time in the future.
