    It's just that being as how I'm a foodie I kinda resent Oreo cookies being maligned like that. Some nerve! Thank you for your reply Nanoose! :)

    Depends on context.  Oreo at my kids school just meant a mixed person and was not considered an insult.

    Uncle Tom and oreo used in the context by the Dem politican in TX towards Sen Tim Scott are both racist terms.   And are considered hate speech if directed at a person.
