No, I think it's mostly because bullies tend to be conservatives! And with the likes of Trump, conservatives are really demonizing themselves, aren't they?

Funnily enough, the new "lifelong Republican against Trump" HRC ad just played on TV. I know several such people in real life. He's even too repugnant for many Repugnicans!

And your last sentence just proved that liberals do it too.

I am liberal, I guess. I'm liberal with the tolerance I feel for people who aren't the same as me, when their differences don't impose harm on others. Things like race, heritage, religion, gender, sexual preference don't in and of themselves impose harm on others, therefore I don't believe that I'm more or less valuable than people who are of a different race, heritage, religion, gender or sexual preference than I.

I think it's sad that it's come to this. I know republicans who are devastated that Trump has done this to a party which was once about something other than fear-mongering hatred. I know that they, like MANY republican leaders, refuse to endorse or vote for Trump.

I know there are people not happy with the nominee....there are every year.
My point was you could not make your answer without calling Republicans (the ones who are against Trump) Repugnicans

    That's not demonizing, that's name-calling. ; )

I agree with Old School... it's not demonizing if it's the truth. I think this question was meant to be somewhat humorous, anyway.

And I don't think that all republicans are repugnant, btw. Some of their ideas, for sure, but not them personally.

Have you seen the answermug feed?  Liberals don't demonize conservatives? Lol. Or the vandalism of republican offices.  Or nearly any story on the TV news. Or the words of the self-appointed "nominee" of liberals?  No side gets a free pass on this because they are both hurling endless insults each way.

What are you talking about? They demonize each other all the time, even the liberals do it. Why can't we all just get along?

(many) Republicans support suppression of African-American voters and forgive the killing of unarmed African-Americans by law enforcement. Those Republicans are racist.

(Many) Republicans forgive Donald Trump for his horrible treatment of women and/or demonize Hillary Clinton for behavior essentially identical to that of male/GOP political figures. Those Republicans are sexist.

(Many) Republicans support denying denying basic human rights to N*gg*rs, Sp*cs, and F***ING HADJIS, simply because they are N*gg*rs, Sp*cs, and F***ING HADJIS. Those Republicans are xenophobic (and, in the case of F***ING HADJIS, are Islamophobic)

(Many) Republicans support denying LGBT people the basic civil rights (right to marry, right to not be discriminated against) they would not deny heterosexual people (unless they were N*gg*rs, Sp*cs, or F***ING HADJIS...;-D....). Those Republicans are homophobic.

It's not demonization if it's an accurate description of the views.

@m2c -- So, you AGREE with me that RAWFs demonize while TEH STOOPID EBIL LIBRUHLZ invoke accurate descriptions of conservative/GOP/RAWF behavior?...;-D...

Now, I will make a small concession. I suspect the vast majority of GOP supporters who advocate (or at least accept) the racist/xenophoic/sexist/homophobic policies of GOP politicians are NOT overtly bigoted.

Instead, they want the GOP to hold political power (instead of TEH STOOPID EBIL LIBRUHL DEMOCRAPS...;-D...) and, hence, DON'T CARE if the policies which will get GOP politicians elected are de facto racist/xenophobic/sexist/homophobic.

In other words, they don't care if Doug and Bob (who live in the house 3 doors down) get married or not. But, if demonizing TEH GAYZ and gay marriage means Bill Republican beats Ted Democrat in the next election, they're all for it.

It's up to you to decide which is more evil: overt bigotry or passive bigotry in pursuit of political power.

No I don't agree with you.  You first post was proof that Liberals demonize conseravatives on a regular basis.  I personally know people who fit in the categories you mentioned and they are not Republicans they are Dems....

There are people in both parties that fit the categories.  It is just the Dem party that uses identity politics then facts fail on issues the general fall back position is racist, sexist, ----phobic....because then Dem can ignore the facts because it comes from a.......(insert your favorite insulte here)

I think it is 50/50.  I am taking an educated guess based on just common sense.

The fact that you can come up with this and have no rhyme or reason besides you think so, makes it no sense at all.   I'm pretty sure this nonsense of Trump being a rapist did not come from the conservative party.  Maybe. Who knows.  But "libs" as you call them are human.  And humans come in all shapes and varieties of political nut bag.
