    Yes and no. My mom was always very competitive with me and not in a nice way. I was afraid I'd be the same if I had a daughter, so I never wanted to have one and find out. As soon as I found out I was pregnant with my middle child, I knew she was a girl and, although I kept the worry until after she was born, she is exactly who I'd want her to be.

    Yes, I had no wish any other than healthy kids. It is what I have gotten. I am very pleased with them all (no matter sex). :-)

    Children should be a GREAT pleasure. Nothing is more life confirming than giving birth to a healthy child. They deserve all the love we can give them. Their sex should be of no importance.

    Our two children are of the same gender, when my wife was pregnant the second time, I was hoping for one of each. Things turned out differently.

    I've always wondered what it would be like or would have been like to have a daughter, what kind of father I would have been to one, and what kind of father-daughter relationship we would have had.
