You don't have to agree with others to acknowledge their right to think as they do. Do you? Why?

  • I think it is essential to respect the rights of others to think as they do.
    (Though I draw the line at views which directly lead to causing harm.)
    We can express our views politely, and give our reasons if welcome.
    One very good reason for holding this stance is that it is possible to be wrong and not know it.
    Every once in a while, by being open, we discover new things that can change our perspective. Always valuable.

    I'm intelligent enough to realize that not everyone has or should have the same perspective on any given topic. There are some people who do not share that realization.
