Other than adding to our knowledge even if we get it wrong, how does exploring space benefit homo saps?

We spend bazillions of dollars and decades and generations on it. What do we have to show for it? A space station. Will they be our future homes when we destroy earth?

Would we be better off preserving nurturing improving honoring respecting where we live now?

Spend all that space money for the improvement betterment of our earth?

    Some yes. All? I wish! Thank you for your reply Shuhak. The GUANOHEADS are incredibly incurious. Millions of them suck up to a liar and are satisfied with that. 74 million voted for him in 2020. For all we know 330 billion would vote for him....not legitimately of course. His fawning lemmings are seeing to that.
