      Smite: to slay.  No!

Smite: to strike or hit hard, with or as with the hand. To deliver or deal (a blow, hit, etc.) by striking hard. Yes! But only to protect those who couldn't protect themselves against the ones wanting to do harm to them for no reason. Bullies
