The Taliban: What is their motivation, what are they trying to achieve?

After they take over the land, then what? Where will they go for resources like food and health care?  They don't make sense to me in any way shape or form.

You should ask them. It's unlikely that anyone on here would be able to answer your questions about them.

I thought maybe someone with a Psych background could give some insight.

I think part of their motivation is to take over the poppy fields - make opium and sell it to buy weapons. Cheers!

No one knows for sure because we all are being lied to by the media and the military and the WH.

The Taliban were in control of Afghanistan, prior to our invasion.
So, in their mind, they have finally driven the invaders out of their country and resumed control.

Their government is already supported by Pakistan and China.
