Is there a unifying connection among all OBSESSIONS especially those with respect to celebrities?

John Lennon was murdered by an obsessed "fan"? Young actress Rebecca Schaffer was tracked and murdered by an obsessed "fan".

Does all obsession lead to destruction by the obsessed with the target of the obsession? I member years ago some dame was obsessed with Dave Letterman believed and thought she was his wife or something. It's very vague but she was clearly a very dingy dame.

Some believe they have a love affair that is consensual with the target.

How do they CHOOSE over whom to obsess and why is it so often a desire to harm?

      I would imagine that a lot of folks have an obsession with something. Some have a strong obsession. While others have a deep-seated and disturbing obsession with certain things. For instance, an obsession with a person like Trump. Another would be an obsession with hatred and hating someone. Not all obsessions lead to destruction. But those of a deep-seated and disturbing nature could.
