DNC head and CNN part ways after Wikileaks releases emails showing she gave questions to Clinton campaign. Your thoughts?

Interim DNC head Donna Brazile and CNN part ways after Wikileaks releases emails showing that she gave the Clinton campaign questions in advance of both a debate and a town hall meeting while she was a contributor to CNN.  She gave Clinton at least one question prior to each event, but promised more, whether she supplied more or not is unknown at this time.

Is there any way of proving without a doubt that whatever Wikileaks is disseminating is fact and not something some hacker cooked up?

Without a doubt?  Probably not, at least not at this point.  That the federal government, and Hillary herself, are laying blame for the hacks on the Russians certainly lends credibility, though.

Joint Statement from the Department Of Homeland Security and Office of the Director of National Intelligence on Election Security. The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow—the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europe and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.

The Clinton campaign has a clear strategy for tamping down coverage of WikiLeaks — to paint the revelations as an assault on American democracy. As Clinton put it during the final debate, “What’s really important about WikiLeaks is that the Russian government has engaged in espionage against Americans. . . . Then they have given that information to WikiLeaks for the purpose of putting it on the Internet . . . in an effort . . . to influence our election.”

What is interesting is how quick she is to point the finger at Russia without absolute proof then use the defense that there isn't any absolute proof against her...where is the proof.  just because someone says it so doesn't make it so....goes both ways

The sad part is that of all the characters in this play, not a one of them is honest enough to believe outright.

  • I think the Bernie Sanders supporters should be really upset as this happened in the primary debate and perhaps beyond. Seems like the DNC despised anyone other than Hillary.  Odd for a democracy to operate this way.

I'm still not voting for Trump but could he be right about the election being rigged?  This is the second time the Clinton Campaign has been caught accepting favors which unfairly tip the vote in her favor. This post was edited by CallMeIshmael at October 31, 2016 9:44 PM MDT
