not always . .. when someone asked me if they should stop their cancer treatments , i locked away my opinion . and told them . " that's not for me to decide , i don't want my opinion to sway your decision either way . simply because my "opinion " is just that , and i could be wrong " .
but i guess i was still "honest" about it .

If it's someone I know well, they know not to ask my opinion if they don't want the honest truth. If it's someone I don't know well, I will probably moderate my answer so that I'm being honest, but more diplomatic.
