The last time music distracted you, was it in a good way or a bad way?

I was trying to concentrate on some things that I was reading and writing, when a series of oldies began playing that I had not heard for a long, long time. I put down what I was doing and reminisced about things that were happening when those songs were newly released.

In a bad way - I was just about to fall asleep when some car blasting it's radio stopped for the red light.  People are so inconsiderate.

I don't know why I keep making that mistake when I know better!

I’m willing to bet the computer throws that in there without you catching it. Grrrrrrr.

    Possibly, but I doubt it.

Maybe subconsciously you’re just trying to get my attention, you know, flirting with me. Wait here, I’ll consult Freud and get right back to you.

The consultation went very well and it’s all good news: you’ll only need a spare bedroom and disposable cash that you can apply to my gigolo fees.

(That would also do it to me too.)  Using "also" and "too" is redundant.

    A GREAT way!

This happened to me TODAY! In my car, driving home a little over an hour ago.

Listening to car radio, searching for songs. And I heard this song that kept distracting me - - I had never heard it before and I kept getting distracted to go back to it because I had also come across Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'"- - and Petty's song is usually a No Brainer for me to stick with - - I love every second of Petty's song!

But I was constantly distracted to go back to this other song I had never heard. I remembered the lyrics to look up the title when I got home.

I forgot to look it up until I saw your question.

The song is Mary J Blige's "Real Love"

And, without realizing I was a fan, I'm now even more of a fan of Blige.
"More of a fan" because it was not that long ago that I first found out she was the one who did "Family Affair" - - a song I always enjoy but never knew who sang it. "Family Affair" just overwhelms me with its sounds, style, her singing - - sensual (to use one of your words from another one of your questions)!!

EDIT: Listening to "Family Affair" now -- I just heard Blige name herself in the song more than once, ha! "Mary J" and "Mary" -- I'm an idiot again, ha. Listen more closely to songs, WelbyQuentin and you might know what they are!
    :)

If I'm concentrating on something I don't have noise coming from an electronic device.

Not all music comes from electrical devices, and distractions can come along unexpectedly from outside sources while you’re concentrating on something. For instance, a parade with a marching band passes by while you’re making sandwiches in the Randall Manor kitchen . . .
