Why do so many people refuse vaccines because of their religious beliefs?

Can anyone here give irrefutable, non-debatable proof, in writing, that God said we should not inject vaccines?

The Pope has taken the vaccine, several Jewish religious leaders have told their congregations to take the vaccine, and I'm sure other religious leaders have as well.  The only ones that I can think of that would not counsel taking ANY vaccines are the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Latter Day Saints.

JW do not oppose vaccines. I do not know about the other denomination you mentioned.

"The following denominations do have a theological objection to vaccination:
    • Dutch Reformed Congregations - This denomination has a tradition of declining immunizations. Some members decline vaccination on the basis that it interferes with divine providence. However, others within the faith accept immunization as a gift from God to be used with gratitude.
    • Faith healing denominations including:
    • Faith Tabernacle
    • Church of the First Born
    • Faith Assembly
    • End Time Ministrie
    • Church of Christ, Scientist -  One of the basic teachings of this denomination is that disease can be cured or prevented by focused prayer and members will often request exemptions when available. However, there are not strict rules against vaccination and members can receive required vaccinations."

Understood.  Responses get a little confusing on here.  Thanks.

It stems from the belief that "your body is God's temple" ... I don't know if there's an actual verse.
Of course, they are free to eat all kinds of unhealthy food and not exercise ... and take medicine they want.
But as soon as there's something they don't want to take - they claim a religious exemption.

I told co-workers ... if the person vaccinates their children, to attend school (pre-COVID) - they have no legitimate claim of "religious exemption".

The verse is 1 Corinthians 6:19.

There is NO scripture in the bible that says a person shouldn't get a vaccine.

I'd be surprised if there was.
What with there not being vaccines when those scriptures were written.

There is NO scripture in the bible that says a person shouldn't get a vaccine.   In order to justify their actions, some people will take verses out of context, or "twist" into saying whatever they want them to say (at the moment).

This is enough for many people.

They should avoid the ones listed as unethical that organization and by the Pope. No aborted fetal tissue used in the actual Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, and 1973 aborted tissue cells were only used for testing of Moderna vaccine - not IN the actual vaccine. Apparently J&J uses aborted fetal cells in the vaccine!  No need for more aborted tissue after they were used for testing efficacy, for Moderna and Pfizer and others.

Many vaccines are made from aborted baby tissue. Animal by-parts are also used.

Some people believe that their health is God's will and to get a vaccine interfers with His will.

Other believe they should rely on God to protect and heal.

There are entirely too many scriptures to post that aupport these positions.

Many vaccines are produced (and tested on) foetal cell lines grown in a laboratory from initial parent cells from a foetus aborted generations ago.
The ethics of that long ago act are moot - the stem cells being used today are not and can never be a baby no matter what is done with or to them, so this is really a non-issue.

Does not change the fact that it is derived from human baby tussue.  Just because one person has decided it was far back enough it does not matter, most certainly does not decide it for all people.

Actually, that's one of the biggest myths. Google "COVID vaccine myths" and it's at or near the top of the list.

It is fetal cell lines....cloned fetal cells.  Some people still have a ethical objection to their use. And they have every right to their opinion.

Where do you see fetal tissue in the following?

What are the ingredients in a vaccine?

Vaccines contain tiny fragments of the disease-causing organism or the blueprints for making the tiny fragments. They also contain other ingredients to keep the vaccine safe and effective. These latter ingredients are included in most vaccines and have been used for decades in billions of doses of vaccine.

Each vaccine component serves a specific purpose, and each ingredient is tested in the manufacturing process. All ingredients are tested for safety.

    Antigen

All vaccines contain an active component (the antigen) which generates an immune response, or the blueprint for making the active component. The antigen may be a small part of the disease-causing organism, like a protein or sugar, or it may be the whole organism in a weakened or inactive form.

Vaccines topic 2 01 Vaccine Antigens

    Preservatives

Preservatives prevent the vaccine from becoming contaminated once the vial has been opened, if it will be used for vaccinating more than one person. Some vaccines don’t have preservatives because they are stored in one-dose vials and are discarded after the single dose is administered. The most commonly used preservative is 2-phenoxyethanol. It has been used for many years in a number of vaccines, is used in a range of baby care products and is safe for use in vaccines, as it has little toxicity in humans.

    Stabilizers

Stabilizers prevent chemical reactions from occurring within the vaccine and keep the vaccine components from sticking to the vaccine vial.

Stabilizers can be sugars (lactose, sucrose), amino acids (glycine), gelatin, and proteins (recombinant human albumin, derived from yeast).

Vaccine Ingredients: Antigen, Adjuvant, Preservatives, Stabilizers, Surfactants, Residuals, Diluent.

    Surfactants

Surfactants keep all the ingredients in the vaccine blended together. They prevent settling and clumping of elements that are in the liquid form of the vaccine. They are also often used in foods like ice cream.

    Residuals

Residuals are tiny amounts of various substances used during manufacturing or production of vaccines that are not active ingredients in the completed vaccine. Substances will vary depending on the manufacturing process used and may include egg proteins, yeast or antibiotics. Residual traces of these substances which may be present in a vaccine are in such small quantities that they need to be measured as parts per million or parts per billion.

    Diluent

A diluent is a liquid used to dilute a vaccine to the correct concentration immediately prior to use. The most commonly used diluent is sterile water.

    Adjuvant

Some vaccines also contain adjuvants. An adjuvant improves the immune response to the vaccine, sometimes by keeping the vaccine at the injection site for a little longer or by stimulating local immune cells.

The adjuvant may be a tiny amount of aluminium salts (like aluminium phosphate, aluminium hydroxide or potassium aluminium sulphate). Aluminium has been shown not to cause any long-term health problems, and humans ingest aluminium regularly through eating and drinking.

If the cells were from dead fetuses, how is that different from organ transplants from the deceased?

The difference is the baby was killed in an abortion.
The baby did not choose to be aborted and then donated/sold for "science."

I would object to them killing people of any age for their organs as well.
