If you were a ghost, what location do you think you would haunt? Is it the same or different from the location you would LIKE to haunt?

I don't know what happens to ghosts when their established haunting grounds are eventually demolished. My thought is that ghosts are a residual force from a deceased person so then that ghostforce would turn into part of a universal force kind of entity for eternity and no more haunting. I'd like to be a harmless ghostforce anyway rather than a poltergeist or some kind of evil force. I imagine that ghosts acquire the personality of the deceased person from when they were alive.
