What is a double standard that exists or existed in your everyday life, either at home, work, school, relationship, etc?

I consider them both trashy.

  With mine, if I spend money on something, sometimes even 99¢ for a pack of chewing gum, I have to hear her 3rd degree litany;

     “Why did you buy that? How much did it cost?  Do you really need that? We have some of those at home already. Are you really going to use it? Weren’t there any less expensive ones? I can make the same thing for you, and it will cost less. Did you keep the receipt, maybe you can get a refund. Yammer, yammer, yammer . . .”

  However, she goes out and spends over $200 each for purses, for instance, buys whatever she wants to with no regard for her own criteria that she uses in questioning me. I earn four/fifths more money than she does, yet it’s my spending habits that are under scrutiny.
