Is your microwave oven just a convenience that you can live without or if it conked out you would have it replaced s.a.p.?

    I suppose I could live without it.  

    I really only use it to reheat leftovers, soften butter and ice cream, warm cat food, warm water for raising yeast, and to cook oatmeal.

    I rarely use it but I would replace it when a good sale surfaced.  I have a little one upstairs as well as the big one in the kitchen.  It is what I used while I lived here before renovation.  Backups come in handy.  I now have a small  two-door refrigerator for which to find a spot.
