Discussion»Questions»Language» Because of the ambiguities of the English language, 'ghoti' can be pronounced in a way that is not even close to its spelling.
That must be why my spell correct feature gets confused and makes mistakes that I have to make right.
I was kind of clueless what to make of 'ghoti' so I had to look it up. Interesting.. first you take the sound from 'enouGH to begin the word with an 'f' sound... then the rest is easy enough to figure out.
