Biden revokes authorization for covid antibody treatment. Too many states getting caught distributing racistly, or saving to many people?

Gee, if only the Republicans had figured out the President had the authority to overrule federal agencies on what drugs were authorized for what treatment.  They could have put an end to the abortion debate long ago.  "Oh, sure, you can get an abortion.  But you can't use any drugs regulated by the federal government, during any part of the procedure or recovery."

But with Biden showing the way, I'm sure the next Republican President will quickly rectify that oversight.

Thanks to Donald Trump there may never be a Republican President again. Cheers!

When it comes to the memory of the American public, never say never.
The vast majority have been conditioned to believe the "sound bites" they are given by the media, and not question what they are told by "authority" figures.  They have no long term memory or understanding of current events in relation to historic causes.  Nor do they want to.

This true for most. These are exceptional times. And as we learn more and more about the side effects of the shots, people will remember WHO forced them to take it.

Abortion is not allowed based on an Emergency Use Authorization. It is legal based on the right to privacy...so it is not the same process.

The monoclonal covid antibody treatment  was only allowed to be used under an EAU. Biden administration just revoked that EAU forbidding the legal use of the treatment. This post was edited by my2cents at January 25, 2022 2:46 PM MST

My point is that if ONE President exercises the Chief Executive priviledge to override an agency's approval of a drug treatment, regardless of the approval level, ANY President could do the same.

How many drugs that were "safe" were later removed from market or limited due to being found "unsafe"?  Or vice-versa?

It does not matter if a drug was approved under EUA or not.
The President is the head of every agency, and can exercise that authority to set rules for the agency.
As I said, abortion can be legal AND the feds can simultaneously prohibit controlled substances to be used for it.

I see what you mean now. But I think some abortions do not require much in the way of meds.
Sadly, most Rep do not have a spine to try such a thing.

Yes, is was done racistly in more than one state.

And as I explained to Stu earlier. (He deleted his post)
Racistly  is an adverb. In this case, it is an adverb describing how they distributed the antitreatments.

I agree.  They need fear to try and force people to get the clot shot.

It was done because the FDA and the makers of the anti bodies proved that the anti boby treatment had no effect on the new Omicron variant. Right now over 99 percent of the cases in America are Omicron so why  throw money and resources into something that is proved ineffective. Cheers!

The covid shots are not effective against Omicron either but they are still pushing them.
