You're welcome m'dear. I was stunned when I read it. Apparently Putin and Sagal both like martial arts and bonded over that and Sagal has asked to become a Russian citizens for years. He defends Putin and thinks he is a great man. I cannot believe it either! But the world is becoming kinda strange. What used to be celebrated/admired seems to be changing and not for the better. Thank you for your reply Tom and Happy Saturday to you! :)

Apparently his grandparents were Russian immigrants so perhaps he could have applied for citizenship without the help of Putin.  And I do know that, because MY mother was Irish born, and I could also apply and be granted Irish citizenship.  In that case, the US would recognize my dual citizenship.

The story I read said that Sagal has been asking Putin to let him become a Russian citizen for years. Apparently he and Putin share a mutual love of martial arts. Sagal also defends Putin and thinks he is a wonderful guy just exactly  like the he who shall not be named candidate in the 2016 prez race. I think it is a disgrace. Thank you for your reply PC and Happy Saturday to thee! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 5, 2016 2:23 AM MDT

Giving up one's citizenship should never be taken lightly.  It just might turn around to bite him in the ass.  Wouldn't THAT be a crying shame?  lol

As a first generation American PC I have only contempt for those who give up their citizenship. Whether it is as a protest against  the government or to save on taxes or whatever the he** reason it is simply isn't good enough for me. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday to thee! :)

I hope he did not vote for the POTUS before changing his citizenship. That would make a Russian voting for the POTUS. It's bad enough how he already has publicly interfered with the US election as Russian.

He wouldn't have been a Russian then m'dear. We can't retroactively  dam* the guy if he were an American citizen and voted for POTUS. HOWEVER he has been lobbying Putin for years. They both enjoy martial arts and that is how they bonded apparently. Since Sagal also defends Putin as a great guy just like Comrade Trump continues to do  IF he were doing that for years he probably didn't vote at all. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday SH! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 5, 2016 5:45 AM MDT

Election Day is 8 November, right? So any vote counting should be given by American citizens per that day, meaning he is a non-American and thereby has no vote. Anything else does not make sense aka discussions about dead people voting and election fraud caused by Trump supporters.

I wish you a happy Saturday too. :-) This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at November 5, 2016 12:41 PM MDT
