Anyone else depressed by dreary days, cold weather and the snow?

    I am getting used to it. Boredom is a bigger problem. I look forward to my next doctor visit in March when it will be much nicer.

    No, I don't get depressed.  If I can't go outside, I read, watch TV, try to gin up some interest in house cleaning.

    I thought it was more than the actual readings because of the drifts.  We had between 8-10" which is enough to make a real mess for the next week or so.  It was very cold, and still is - only 14F. now - feels like -5.  I went food shopping on Friday, so I have enough to last for a couple of weeks.

    Looking out my window there 6 to 7 in of snow on the ground so yes I'm depressed because I hate snow.

    No. I do get anxious if road conditions are bad, but so far so good this winter. 

    I do think it's been especially cold this January. I have no actual data, but it seems like it's been colder this year than I can remember.

  • I'm not.  The weather is nice right now, but Wednesday should be the hot day at 31˚C (89˚F).  However, the sky is gray from wildfires in places where we normally don't have wildfires so I can smell the smoke sometimes.  Our worlds are upside down compared to each other.  Dreary days and cold weather are six months away for me.
