What vegetarian pizza topping would go well with pineapple?

    I've never had pineapple on my pizza and have no desire to try it.  I do, however, like vegetable pizza.

    It's not really a proper pizza, more of an appetizer or salad. Crescent roll 'crust', the cream cheese-based 'sauce' and raw veggies of your choice topped with a shredded cheese. I prefer it to any traditional pizza, personally.

  • I've never made a pizza with pineapple.  I'll try making one tomorrow night.  I think I won't use tomato sauce for this style of pizza, so I'll chop up some garlic and add it to olive oil to put on the crust.  I'll put some parsley and basil on top of that.  The toppings I'll try will be mozzarella cheese, shredded parmesan cheese, sliced jalapeños, pineapple and a small amount of chopped onion.  It sounds good, but it's something I've never tried before, so I don't know if I can recommend it or not.

    I've not had it in years, but the semi-popular combo in America is known as "Hawaiian" and is pineapple and ham. I agree that tomato sauce doesn't seem like the best choice.  

    Hope it turned out nice! I don't like onion on pizza and I don't do peppers, but otherwise it sounds really good to me!

    Fruit pizza is delicious! Right up there with the cold veggie variety. Sugar cookie 'crust' and a sweet cream cheese 'sauce'. I think kiwi and strawberries would go well with the pineapple.
