Did your cellphone, computer or any other gadget ever develop a problem then after a bit of time resolved itself?

About a week ago my phone started making a continuing occasional tinkle sound, usually not very loud but sometimes could startle me awake at night. I tried everything to fix that annoyance but to no avail, then about mid afternoon today it totally stopped on its own accord.
