    Yes, because some people are officious assholes, but they're also the type of people that you know you can rely on to get things done. Meanwhile, some people have great social skills, and know how to entertain a small crowd of people at a social event, but may not be the most reliable of people when it comes to getting things done.

    Of course.  Just because I may not like someone doesn't prevent me from acknowledging their integrity, while some of the most charming people are not very trustworthy.
