Are you surprised to hear that weapons are being found at the Freadom convoy?

Canadian police have arrested 11 people after they found a massive weapons cache in 11 of the trucks at the Canadian border. Rifles , handguns, multiple sets of body armour, a machete, a large quantity of ammunition, and high capacity magazines were found. A police car was also rammed  by a semi and a farm tractor so I don't think the truckers intended to keep the protest completely peaceful. Cheers!

No, I'm not surprised. Any protest attracts troublemakers who are not representative of the majority. I still don't understand how a protest about freedom can justify depriving the citizens of Ottawa of their freedom to live in peace and move freely about the city. I also don't understand why they are demanding that Canada lift the vaccine mandate when the US still requires one for entry. If these are Canadian truckers, who are physically in Canada, and can't go across the border, what good will it do them?

True. There was a huge anti truckers protest and it was 100% peaceful - 72% of Canadians are against the truckers convoy. Cheers!

They were all walking just like their protesting permit stipulated. Cheers!

Other than the man who drove into people.
And the woman who drove into both people and a car.

As long as they did not use them....I do not care.   I own weapons as well. I have never harmed anyone.   When I go to dangerous areas (St Louis) I would never go unprepared for defending myself.

Whether they had them or not does not matter, they were there for days and NO one was harmed no buildings were burning etc.

I would be more surprised if truckers didn't have weapons, as they are often targeted for hijackings and robbery when they are stopped for the night.

And as I've said before, body armor should be worn by anybody travelling the highways these days - due to the increasing number of "road rage" incidents, as well as gang "initiations" of shooting random people.

The weapons were hiding in the back of the trailers so I don't think they were there for the protection of the truckers. Cheers!

To answer your question, I was surprised. I even said to my wife: "Wow, Canadians with guns."

The people in Canada have more guns in private ownership than both the military and the police combined.  I was also surprised when I learned that.
