    I bought my car in 2017 and have never turned on the radio.  It came with a six-inch antenna which I removed the first time I went through a car wash.  It's still in the glove box.

      About ten or fifteen years ago, a buddy bought an extremely base model of new vehicle with no frills whatsoever.  Lack of any sound system was part of the bargain.
