Most of us have used the phrase 'quite a few'. If you ponder it, what does it really mean? Is it an oxymoron?

    I will admit that I've used that phrase "quite a few" more than a few times. 
    The way I see it, "quite a few" is less than "more than a few", but more than "hardly any".
