I like white baguettes and white English muffins. I’ve never had wonder bread/ grocery store sliced white bread. My parents always bought whole grain bread for things like toast and sandwiches, so that’s what I am used to and what I like.

We buy a 12 grain bread with crunchy seeds. It toasts up well.

I buy Arnold's 12 grain bread for lunch sandwiches and Sara Lee honey wheat for toast and PB&J.

When I buy bread, I buy sourdough.  When I make bread, I make wheat bread. This post was edited by Shuhak at July 15, 2022 4:37 PM MDT

Yes, I buy French bread regularly.   I usually buy rye loaf bread but  I keep a loaf of cheap white bread in the freezer for emergency (realizing out of bread when someone really wants a sandwich....................and no, I'm not talking about RD.   My steady thinks of a sandwich as a snack and the bread goes fast sometimes.  Every month or two  I buy another loaf and throw out the one in the freezer.

Also, if you ever have kidney trouble you'll be instructed to eat only white bread.  I'm not wishing that on you!! This post was edited by Thriftymaid at July 15, 2022 4:37 PM MDT

I sometimes have half of an English muffin, but I otherwise don't eat bread. It is the enemy of weight control.
