Wait a minute - what about buckeyes?

Oh, I guess that's your state tree. Or is it your state nut?

I know they are. I loved collecting them when I was young. Have you ever smashed one and smelled it?

Minnesota's state grain is wild rice. The state fruit is the Honeycrisp apple and the state muffin is the blueberry muffin.

New York’s state fruit is the apple. Lots of them are grown here. The Empire variety was developed at Cornell University’s orchards.

Apples were declared New York's state fruit in 1976, and New York is the second largest U.S. producer of apples after Washington State.
