When my wife was 8 months pregnant with our youngest child, my battalion got transferred to Okinawa, Japan for 6 months.

Fathers who were not present at the birth of any your children, where were you instead, and why?

(Note: unlike the birth of our youngest child, I had been right there in the Delivery Room when our first child was born.)

My husband was in the waiting room for the birth of our children with all the other fathers waiting for their babies to be born. Back in the 60s, fathers were not allowed in the delivery rooms.
