For those who believe in Heaven, what do you think there is to do there?

Perhaps it is an interplanetary thing that involves all souls.  I can only imagine the wonderful things we will be a part of. Whatever our respective roles will be is exciting.  We are being trained, if you will, right now for eternity.

God gives us time and the choice to rid ourselves from all evil and anything that does not glorify God.  I have a feeling that those who refuse to let go of bad things will be affected in heaven.  God wants a clean vessel for some reason, what the eternal reason is, I'll find out soon.  But that's just my opinion.

    1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him.

Heaven will be more magnificent than the mind can ever imagine.  However, the bible says that we'll be worshipping God in heaven.  To those who know and love God, that will be the best part of being in heaven.  Anything else will be "icing on the cake".

I agree, just icing on the cake but hope I have some eternal responsibilities, along with loving God, not sure what that would look like though.  There IS a bigger picture which only God knows.  It is intriguing to think about.  This post was edited by Honey Dew at January 31, 2023 11:09 AM MST

Of course there will be "responsibilities".   God doesn't want us to sit back and do nothing (that's not worship).  For an example we can look back at Adam and Eve in the garden - before they sinned.   God gave them the responsibility of "tending the garden".
God gave us fantastic imaginations, but no matter how hard we try, we can't even come close to truly imagining what heaven is really like. This post was edited by Shuhak at January 31, 2023 2:38 PM MST

You'll spend your time trying to contact your friends in Hell.

I'm going to send my friends in hell poems like - roses are red violets are blue - I'm sitting on cloud eating Philadelphia Cream Cheese - how about you. Cheers!

No I don't have sound on the computer I use for Internet surfing. I just googled him and if it is the same guy it said he died after fighting a fire. Cheers!

I didn't mean "you" specifically.  It was the general "you."

Worship, sing. Reconnect  with family and friends.  Other than that we do not know.

I do believe in heaven but I have no idea what we will do there. As I get closer to the that time, I think about it more and more. I try to imagine "life" without things, without food as we know it. I just can't get there. I hope we get "jobs" that best suit our abilities. I hope I get to see all those I loved and lost so I can tell them that I loved them and I missed them.

Much more likely is just plain death and a state of oblivion.

Not the topic.  Question was addressed to those who believe in Heaven...

One of us is right and one of us is wrong. We'll never know until our time comes. If you're right, I won't be disappointed because oblivion will remove all expectations. If I'm right, there's the possibility that you will be surprised (hopefully pleasantly). Until then, for each of us, it's a conscious choice.

If it turns out that I'm right, please look me up! I'm looking forward to spending eternity (plenty of time) meeting as many people as possible. This post was edited by NYAD at February 20, 2024 12:06 PM MST

The issue as I see it is that if there indeed is a place where the billions of people who have lived and died actually exist, where is it and how would they all fit?

Then where are all these people? Most of the universe is not habitable for human beings.
