Is it merely a coincidence that the phrase 'road rage' closely rhymes with the phrase 'old age'?

Just wondering.

    Yes.
And "road" - "old" is a long way from being a 'close' rhyme ;-))

Go in the other direction of the definition of the word "closely", as in close but no cigar.

No, it isn't. First off, there is no such thing as coincidence, I knew that even before I knew there was no such thing as Father Christmas (and I first found out that in 1970). Second, most people guilty of road rage are nowhere near approaching old age. About 90% of them are egotistical idiots who are not yet out of their teens. I don't know what inspired you to ask this question, Randy, but the two phrases are totally unrelated. Lol:)
