It's not clear if he refused or whether he wasn't offered an opportunity for a pre-arranged bond. He does have a criminal history which could be a factor. Of course Trump and other more prosperous criminal defendants generally have advantages in our two-tier justice system.
He claimed he couldn't afford an attorney to discuss a bail arrangement and the judge said he was not entitled to have a free one appointed. Judge Richardson Richardson said one of the reasons she was denying him bond on Friday was a pending case for allegedly assaulting a federal officer earlier this year.
I was just thinking that maybe the reason he didn't negotiate a bond was to cast a dark shadow on the trial and win black votes. It would give MAGAs a chance to claim that the trial is racist - so support the blacks for Trump organization. It has been conferred that the reason he was held was because he couldn't afford a lawyer so he couldn't do a pre-arranged bond. It had nothing to do with him being black but yet there is still chatter on the web that it was the reason. I think the chatter should be why Trump let him sit in jail for a week instead of offering to pay for a lawyer. Trump needs the black vote and he probably lost a few by not helping a brother out. For all we know the reason Trump didn't help Floyed was because he was black. Cheers and happy weekend!
