It depends on the type of cake and pie. If it's New York Cheesecake that comes in first, without a doubt with raspberry drizzled on top, OMG, that makes my teeth itch. hahaha Lemon cake, the way I used to make it, omg to die for. Unfortunately the ingredients for the icing are no longer available. I used real lemon juice instead of water for the cake, hummm, did I add any water, can't remember. I know I used real lemon juice for the icing, no water. As far as other cakes go, Black forest cake is good.
The crust for a pie is the most important part. The best I ever had was made by a cook "Ruby Jewel" who worked for a cafe I worked at, back in the day. You could eat the crust alone if you wanted, her pies were amazing. Lemon pie with the fluffy stuff on top, can't remember how to spell it, also coconut, then there is cherry pie...wow, too many to choose from.
