I'm sure a single human emits as much or even more.  Bedsides, airplane burgers are taste terrible - with or without bolts.  (I'll take a 15-ton cargo ship - with extra onions and pickles, and hold the mayo, please).

Well, we keep the cattle mostly because of the meat industry.

And 'clear' a lot of land to feed them.

And give them a whole lot of water.

It will never happen, cows will always be used as a food source, unless they all get some zombie disease from the melting permafrost.

Are you proposing we just make cattle extinct? How do we replace all the milk and the dairy products?

My reason is I like burgers.

The most common greenhouse gas is water vapor....not methane.

There are loads of methane under the ice, it won't stay there forever due to global warming.  Once it begins to be released in mass quantities, well, it won't be a good thing.

Once the ice melts to the point we can reach it, (which it will as we are at the end of the ice age) our gas companies will be drilling it.   It also dissipates very quickly.

Oh, as long as someone doesn't light a match I guess it will be ok then.

I am not a big steak fan. I will eat it. But I am the person who goes to the steak house and orders it extra well done. This will cause the waitress to offer you ketchup, lol.

So funny.  You always get a comment when you say "well done, and I mean brown and hot in the middle."

It does bother some to actually cook a steak.

Medium well is as done as is edible. My better half likes it the way you do, ie slightly less tender than boot leather.
A little pink in the middle is fine, as long as the juice runs clear. My wife says steak that way is still mooing.

Give me any pink meat and it goes back or to the dog.
Well done can be tender, most just cook it too fast.

    Keep the cows.

Take Beano before and there'll be no gas.

Only when kangaroos are bred to produce the same quantity of milk and more than a joey can possibly drink. Osteoporosis is a nasty way to die slowly.

I read an article today that was encouraging.  Seems that the methane leaks have become visible via satellite.  I can't remember now who the largest offenders were but it was pipelines and mining operations. The satellite didn't pick up a single occupied pasture though.   If I see the article again I'll come back with it.
