A ray of hope! Trump just finished his long briefing with Obama and was VERY COMPLI MENTARY and COURTEOUS. Is he sincere?

Trump said he looks forward to having many more meetings with Obama and plans to seek his counsel often. Trump was very polite/complimentary/courteous. Will that alienate his Trumpeters?  I hope not. I like this Trump better than the other iterations of him I have seen since he started out on the prez path. If he is SINCERE he will have to answer to the Trumpeters who like him WAY better when he insults/assaults/attacks/accuses/vilifies. Maybe Trump finally realizes the job he lied to get/insulted to get/attacked to get is too big for him. Maybe it has humbled him and he realizes he is in way over his head and he had dam* well better realize it now so he can get all the help he can. Ya think?

    Hi Rosie:

In the absence of any proof that he wasn't sincere, give him the benefit of the doubt. At least one of the election analysts - I believe it was James Carville - said that most of what's said on the campaign trail by any candidate is BS.

You spend 2 years telling us all about the many things wrong.  The atrocities this guy committed and now you are just going to turn around and try this nonsense?

    PLEASE.

You have stopped talking to me for much less than this.  You are seriously going to try and think happy thoughts?  Get your head out of the sand.  What do you think he is going to say?  He is going to try and act the role of Boss and in command now.  He is going to LIE.  He wants to look good.   Of course.  There is nothing in his way now.  If Obama said something to him he did not like, he would change his tune in one second.   You fall for this?  You may just have a very happy next 4 years then.

I thought you had better radar for tricks and lies by this turkey.  He is going to schmooze anyone and everyone until they get in his face.  AND?  THEY WILL.

'Daddy' Obama must be quite the diplomat if he can get Trump to sit on his knee and give him some helpful   lessons on 'how to be president '.

Trump did what he needed to do to win and fortunately that did not include selling himself to the banks or foreign interests. He was big and loud and stayed in the media splotlight at all costs because that is what needed to be done. If he had not done such he could not have won. He figured out what to do and he did what everyone said he could not do. He came through endless attacks and accusations and a huge amount of media acting directly against him.

Now trump needs to be president and he will figure that out too. Yes he will be different because he no longer needs to win an election. He was a different man before politics, a different man in the primaries, a different man in the election, and will be a different man as president. Unfortunately that is what is needed in america.

I actually do understand the other side of this. For most of the election I waited with hope that somehow hillary would leave the race and I could cast a ballot for a democrat instead of for trump but that did not happen and I had to cast a ballot for trump and that physical thing had an impact in my mind and it made me see that he could be good after all and his motivations and intentions could be good. If things had been different and I had stood in line and casted a ballot for hillary I may have been forced to consider that there may be some good in her too.

Things will have calmed down before he takes office and we will see. Remember he is the candidate who is not owned by banks, who does not want war, who has stood up to big business. He is the one picked by people at not by establishment elites. Perhaps he will be be nothing one he takes office like Obama was, but perhaps he is the one who will stand up for the people.

O'Bama does have some charm. Not enough to make me vote for him, but I was listening to his political talk in the early days.

I don't blame him, Obama's like the most charming president we've ever had. He can even tame a Trump, he's that good.
