Not that I recall. Many people obviously had higher incomes but I never experienced them keeping me abreast of the differences. In my later corporate career I tried to never acknowledge that type thing but I could see it sometimes.
That's not your problem, it's hers. Obviously, she feels inferior and money is the only thing she has to even things up. Just tell her you're happy for her success. If you don't seem bothered, she won't have any reason to keep flaunting it. Oh, and always make her pay if you dine out with her. ;)
