Anybody here that is hip to the jive talk the kids do these days?

Today I was watching a couple of of guys in their early 20s – arguing and hurling insults at each other. I was half hoping there would be a bit of fisticcuffs. But it didn’t happen because one of the guys said – you’re a hospital reject - which shut the other guy up and he sulked away. I wondered what that meant and figured maybe the one guy was saying that the other guy was so hurting mentally and physically that hospitals would reject him - which really hurt the other guys feelings. Anyway I found it pretty funny. Cheers!

    Never heard that expression. If anyone called me that, I'd just laugh.

    But contemporary London street talk can sound like a foreign language at times, as these examples will illustrate:

    I was near the skateboard park when I heard it. So I was thinking that maybe it is a skateboard saying - to people that wipe out a lot. Cheers!
